La VII edizione del SiciliAmbiente – Documentary Film Festival San Vito Lo Capo – si svolgerà dal 14 al 19 Luglio 2015.
Lo scopo del Festival SICILIAMBIENTE (http://www.festivalsiciliambiente.it/) è di promuovere e diffondere il cinema documentario d’autore e favorire il confronto tra i registi. Possono partecipare al concorso film a tema: ambiente, antropologia, diritti umani, biodiversità, guerra, integrazione, diritti civili, sviluppo sostenibile e rapporto uomo ambiente.

Il Festival si articola in varie sezioni:

- concorso internazionale documentari (lunghezza minima: 31 minuti)
- concorso internazionale cortometraggi di fiction e documentari (lunghezza massima: 30 minuti)
- concorso internazionale animazioni (lunghezza massima: 30 minuti)
- concorso internazionale di cortometraggi (lunghezza massima: 30 minuti)
- una sezione non competitiva di cinema breve per bambini (lunghezza massima: 30 minuti)
- una sezione non competitiva dal titolo “Il lavoro” in collaborazione con l’archivio del movimento operaio
- una panoramica internazionale di documentari, fiction e numerosi omaggi, retrospettive, seminari, tavole rotonde.

Il Comitato di Selezione opera le sue scelte in base alla qualità della scrittura e delle immagini e, più in generale, in base all’identificazione di un cinema documentario d’autore.

The 7th annual SiciliAmbiente - Documentary Film Festival San Vito Lo Capo will take place from the 14th to the 19th of July 2015.
The aim of SiciliAmbiente Festival is to promote independent documentary cinema and to encourage creative exchange and networking among the directors. Films dealing with the following themes may participate: Environment, Anthropology, Human Rights, Biodiversity, War, Integration, Civil Rights, Sustainable Development and the Relationship between Man and the Environment.

The Festival is divided into different sections:

- the International Documentary Film contest (minimum length: 31 minutes)
- the International Short Film contest for Fiction and Documentaries (maximum length 30 minutes)
- the International Animated and Short film contests (maximum length 30 minutes)
- a non-competitive section called “Short Movies for Kids” (maximum length 30 minutes)
- a non-competitive section called “Work” in collaboration with the labor movement archives
- an international overview of documentaries, fiction, short films and several tributes, retrospectives, seminars and panel discussions

The Selection Committee will choose based on the quality of writing and images and the general use of a creative language identifying artistic documentary cinema.
