L'associazione EMI, Educazione Multimediale Innovativa, organizza per il 15 maggio 2019, presso il Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo di Roma, School in Motion il primo Festival Internazionale dell'Animazione dedicato all'Istruzione. Si tratta di un'iniziativa realizzata nell'ambito del Piano Nazionale Cinema per la Scuola promosso dal MIUR e dal MiBACT.
Le video animazioni da presentare al Contest dovranno trattare contenuti educativi utili alla scuola. Al termine del Festival le opere in gara verranno rese gratuitamente fruibili in rete, per essere riutilizzate nell'apprendimento scolastico ed extra-scolastico. Le animazioni potranno eventualmente essere co-progettate nei contenuti da insegnanti e conoscitori delle discipline.
Si tratta di un'iniziativa che ha valenza sociale, unica in Italia e in ambito educativo, che prefigura potenziali benefici anche per il settore cinematografico dell'animazione. L'evento garantirà opportuna visibilità agli Artisti, alle Accademie e agli Studi di Produzione che aderiranno alla scommessa culturale che proponiamo in questa prima edizione e con le future.
Quattro i premi in palio, a partire da 1000,00 € fino a 4.500,00€.

The EMI Association, Innovative Multimedia Education, will organize on May 15, 2019, at the National Museum of the XXI Century Arts in Rome, School in Motion the first International Animation Festival dedicated to Education. It is an initiative realized within the National Plan "Cinema for the School" promoted by MIUR and MiBACT.
The video animations to be presented at the Contest will aim to narrate and spread knowledge in different fields of study, in italian language. At the end of the Festival the competing works will be released freely the net, to be reused in school and extra-scholastic learning. The animations, possibly co-designed in the contents by teachers and specialists of the disciplines, will contribute to the evolution and diversification of the educational offer; they will be useful in contrasting the early school leaving, to facilitate the transmission of knowledge and motivate students to learn more; they can be used to improve the inclusion and integration processes of students with special educational needs, for whom it is desirable to encourage the teaching through images; finally, they will be able to make knowledge more accessible, lively and rich in a complex society full of incentives like ours.
It is an initiative that has a social value, unique in Italy and in the educational field, which foreshadows potential benefits also for the cinematographic sector of animation. The event will ensure appropriate visibility to Artists, Academies and Production Studies that will adhere to the cultural challenge that we propose in this first edition and within the future.
