Nel viaggio c’è anche Giovanni, umile artigiano e oppositore fascista. Lui (per amore di suo figlio) nonostante la miseria e le atrocità delle deportazioni, insegna che sognare equivale a fare vere le proprie immaginazioni. Dreams do not have time or age. This is what the young Nicola taught us, orphan without mother in a south of Italy destroyed by war and hunger. “thecolour of dreams” is a journey where dreams, war and love meet each other. Giovanni, a modest artisan and opponent of fascism, takes part of this journey.
